Assemblyman Robert Bonta is truly a children’s advocate. He proved it once again last month by working on behalf of our organization to have funding partially restored.

Children’s Advocate Executive Director Lisa Malul presented a distinguished service award to California State Assemblyman Robert Bonta, 18th District, for his exceptional dedication to helping the Children’s Advocate restore its funding to continue its mission in educating and aiding children and parents.

“Assemblyman Bonta’s office was instrumental in helping us retain a portion of our funding. We presented this plaque in gratitude for his support of children and families in California,” said Malul.

Bonta worked on the behalf of the Children’s Advocate in having the Child Development Division of the Department of Education reinstate partial funding for our organization.

The award was presented to Bonta at his district office in Oakland office on Dec. 18.
