Election Talk: Get Out and Vote

  • Children of parents who vote are more likely to vote when they are old enough.
  • Remind people to register to vote.
  • Hand out information on how to register. Your child will learn how to be an involved citizen.
  • Mark Nov. 6 on your calendar and place reminders in your home.
  • Explain that Election Day is a special day for our nation, the way her birthday is a special day.
  • Take your child with you to a voting station. He will see how many dedicated citizens go to cast their vote on Election Day.
